Mushrooms in watercolor

There's something special about them, isn't there? At least if you believe the people on Instagram.

I posted a video of myself painting a classic porcini mushroom on Instagram last week, and it got about six times more views than my usual reels. Why? I have no idea. But my guess is... we love mushrooms. They're cute, a bit magical (I mean, how many children's books feature someone living inside a mushroom?), and of course, they're a symbol that autumn has arrived. Plus, painting them in watercolor is often a perfect match.

Last year, I painted these mushrooms for my client, PPD (Paper Product Design).

And a few years ago, I designed this kitchen towel featuring a mushroom pancake recipe in collaboration with the famous Swedish chef Maud Onnermark for Aller Media.
